Whether you are trying to lose weight, be healthy or are simply interested in eating right, there is such a confusion out there of what to eat or not. I have tried so many diets, rules and nutritional analysis that the fun had gone out of food.

The question that I have asked myself is how does one eat the correct things and not feel like one is following rules or have to cheat to feel great about eating?

This is not a simple answer. If one is diabetic, there are certain rules that need to be followed. The same is true if one wants to do a cleanse, heal cancer or not eat junk food.

In the end, it boils down to attitude. How do you get to enjoy what you have decided to eat for yourself? How do you follow a menu plan that you want to work for you? How do you stick to a diet where you want to lose weight, when everything in you fights to eat fun foods that have nothing to do with weight loss? It is attitude.

Your feelings about who you are and what you want from life guide and direct you in all ways. If you are a diabetic, for instance, and you know you have to cut back on sugar, alcohol and grain, you can feel deprived or you can feel curious about how to create a sparkling and exciting new life with the foods you can eat.

I have eaten dinner with people who have been restricted to no grain, no sugar diets and their food is fantastic.

It is not what you eat that makes or breaks you. It is how you feel about life and the place you have in it that creates your attitude about what you eat.

Everything you eat can make you slim, everything you eat can make you well and all food whether you eat vegetables and grain, or fruit and yogurt or all the combinations in between depend on your enjoyment of life and the choice you make on how you want to live it.
